Summary
Intelligent Logistics introduced the ability for admin users to custom assign references to new fields that are available to be used in their reports. This will allow reference fields previously not available in the table settings to be added into reports, as well as assign the references across carriers to the same field.
Solution
Users who have Admin permissions in Intelligent Logistics will have the Manage Carriers app available to them. Within this app, all carriers currently active in the customer tenant will populate.
- To create a custom reference assignment to either/both of the new Customer Reference fields, select on your desired Carrier and hit Assign
- Choose your Reference field by selecting through the list of options, or using the search bar. Once you have chosen your reference(s), assign them to the Custom Reference #1 and #2 options.
- Once you have set your custom reference assignment, these mappings will apply from the time you set them moving forward. They WILL NOT update records from prior to when this assignment was made. You will then see these assignments applied to the Custom Reference #1 and #2 fields available in the Tracking Unit List, Tracking Summary, Invoice Item Summary, Invoice Charge Summary, and Address Corrections Analysis applications.
Please Note: If a custom reference assignment has not been set by an admin user, the Custom Reference #1 and #2 fields will revert to Intelligent Logistics' hierarchy logic outlined below. From top to bottom, if a Package Reference #1 field is available, it will populate into Custom Reference #1. If Package Reference #1 is not available, then we move down the list until Custom Reference #1 is able to be populate. Once Custom Reference #1 is populated, we continue down the list to fill Custom Reference #2 if possible.
