Summary
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to view return service charges within the Intelligent Logistics tool. The data from this query will help users compare and contrast invoice charges to identify discrepancies, track trends, and streamline processes to be cost efficient.
Solution
To begin, click on the Invoice Charge Summary (Chart List) Tile.
Once in the application, click "Adapt filters”, and select Carrier Charge Category. Then click OK.
Click into the “Carrier Charge Category” filter and select Returns. Click GO to populate the table.
Once the table is populated, click into the Settings Gear above the Chart View.
To set up a visualization of your data, select the following elements as shown in the image below:
- Series = Carrier Charge Category Detail
- Category = Primary Charge Type
- Measure = Net Charge
Once completed, click OK.
Next, select the desired Chart Type, depending on how you'd like to see the data displayed. In this example, we will use the "Stacked Column Chart."
The chart will now display the breakdown of return charges:
You can now view your data in either Table, Chart/Table, or Chart mode, depending the option selected from the buttons highlighted below.

To see address data associated with return charges, click into the Settings Gear above the table and add the following columns to your report:
- Returned To - the address this tracking unit was returned to.
- Receiving Location - the address this tracking unit was originally delivered to and subsequently, returned from (to be renamed "Returned From" in a future 2024 release).
- Requestor - the location of the account the return charges will be billed to.
Want to access this report for future use?
Take note of any other formatting adjustments or filters you'd like to set, such as the Invoice Date range. Once you're satisfied, click on the drop-down arrow at the top left of the application next to "Standard" and click Save As, to create a custom view.
