Intelligent Logistics supports the ability to implement data feeds for a variety of different parcel and LTL carriers. These carriers all operate differently, thus requiring different information/agreements in order to successfully integrate their data into Intelligent Logistics. The information below provides detail for what is required for these respective integrations.
The Intelligent Logistics team has established standard integrations with our carriers. Please work with your CONTAX Customer Success Manager to allow us to initiate this process with your carriers so the correct integration type and technology are used.
FedEx
Intelligent Logistics can support both tracking and billing data feeds with FedEx. There are specific nuances between these two feeds as illustrated below.
FedEx Tracking
- Customer provides FedEx account manager contact info to CONTAX Customer Success Manager, who will facilitate the business request process for FedEx.
- Customer and FedEx representative will need to ensure that an Insight ID is created and includes the account numbers that they want data for in Intelligent Logistics.
- FedEx requires a three-way Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement to be signed by the Customer, CONTAX, and FedEx to facilitate the transfer of data.
- CONTAX will submit necessary paperwork to FedEx for establishing server connection.
FedEx Billing
- **FedEx cannot have accounts on FedEx Billing Online and EDI simultaneously. To have accounts linked to EDI, customers need to submit remittance advice to FedEx for each invoice.**
- Customer must reach out to their FedEx representative to facilitate business request
- FedEx requires Authorization Agreement to be signed by customer for transfer of invoicing data
- CONTAX will submit necessary paperwork to FedEx for establishing server connection.
DHL
Intelligent Logistics can support both tracking and billing data feeds with DHL. From the customer standpoint, there are no specific differences or requirements between the two feeds.
- Customer must reach out to their DHL representative to facilitate business request.
- CONTAX requires a signed Letter of Authorization from customer to allow data transmissions from DHL (please ask your Intelligent Logistics CSM for this).
- CONTAX will submit necessary paperwork to DHL for establishing server connection and work with respective DHL teams to integrate the respective data feeds.
USPS
Intelligent Logistics can only support tracking data feeds with USPS, but not billing feeds.
- Contrary to most other carrier data integrations, CONTAX has a regular EDI contact at USPS and can interface directly with them.
- CONTAX requires a signed Letter of Authorization from customer to allow data transmissions from USPS (please ask your Intelligent Logistics CSM for this).
- Customer must provide a sample USPS production label from the past 14 days.
- CONTAX will submit the necessary paperwork to USPS for establishing server connection.
Other Carriers
- Carriers outside of the aforementioned ones have different processes that must be managed on an individual basis.
- For all of these integrations, CONTAX requires a signed Letter of Authorization from customer to allow data transmissions from the respective carriers. (please ask your Intelligent Logistics CSM for this).
