Summary
An exception is any tracking unit in exception status, as determined from the UPS QVD data feed. There are a number of different exception types dependent on the circumstances, including weather delays, incorrect addresses and more. Understanding exception information and finding tracking units in exception status is important for users to be able to address carrier and customer issues.
Solution
First open the "Tracking Summary Tile" in the Intelligent Logistics home page . Note that you can also find this information contained in the other IL Tiles, but in this demonstration we'll be using the Tracking Summary Tile.
This will bring you to the pre-set layout for this tile. Everything you will see is the default settings the development team has already setup for you. Click on the "Adapt Filters" button on the right hand side of your screen.
This will open up a page with all the other possible filters you can add. First thing you'll see when you're on this page is all the pre-set filters that are already loaded to your main page.
You will be looking for the correct filter that fits the criteria of your search, in this case you'll be looking for 'Had Exceptions' which will be found under 'On Time Delivery'. Once you've found your filter press 'Go'. The filter you've selected will now populate the top of your screen with the rest of the filters.
Now once all your filters are all set up if you look below at your table you'll be able to see all packages that have had an exception at one point in its lifecycle or are currently in exception.
We can also go a step further and add what type of exception as an additional line item column into our table. To do this we need to go to the 'Settings Icon' and from here a list of different line items columns that can populate our final table will pop up. From here we need to look for 'Transit Exception Type', once the check box is checked you can use the arrows at the top right corner to rearrange the columns to your preference.
Now your final table should look a lot like this, You can also Filter the order in descending or ascending order by clicking on the header.
