The purpose of this article is to provide the steps on how to assign a tag to one or more tracking units in Intelligent Logistics.
Assigning a Tag to a Single Tracking Unit
- Click on the Tracking Number, and then click on the ellipsis (3 dots) in the bottom right corner of the popover view.
- Click Associate Tag.
3. To view a list of existing tags, click into the "Tag" field and select the value you want to assign to the tracking unit and click Save.
If you'd like to assign a new tag, enter the value into "Tag" field and click Save.
The system will confirm the tag was successfully completed:
The tag will now appear in the popover view of the tracking unit it was assigned to:
Removing or Changing a Tag from a Single Tracking Unit
- Click on the Tracking Number, and then click on the ellipsis (3 dots) in the bottom right corner of the popover view.
- Click Associate Tag.
3. Click the X next to the tag to remove it. Once the tag is removed, you can re-assign an alternate tag if desired.
Assigning a Tag to a Multiple Tracking Units
- Select the tracking units you'd like to assign the tag to.
- Click the Bulk Tagging button.
3. To view a list of existing tags, click into the "Tag" field and select the value you want to assign to the selected tracking units and click Save.
If you'd like to assign a new tag, enter the value into "Tag" field and click Save.
The system will confirm the tag was successfully completed:
Changing Existing Tags for Multiple Tracking Units
- Select the tracking units you'd like to update.
- Click the Bulk Tagging button.
- Select from an existing tag or enter the new desired tag and click OK.
The following message will appear, asking the user to confirm whether the change is intended. Click Confirm to overwrite the existing tag.
Filtering and Reporting for Tags
- To filter by specific tag(s), click on the Adapt Filters link.
2. Select the filter Associated Tag and click OK.
3. This filter will now be available to use. Select the desired tag from the list of existing tags. If there is a long list of tags, you can type directly into the filter to quickly locate specific tags.
When all desired tags are in filter settings, click Go to see the results.
4. To add the tag as a report column, click on the Settings button.
5. Select Associated Tag and arrange the columns so this data point is located where you want to see it in the report. Then, click OK.
The results will display tracking units assigned to the selected tag(s) based on your filter settings. The tag(s) will appear as a report column, depending on where you've added it in your column settings.
Deleting an Existing Tag from the Database
- Bring up the Associate Tag menu by selecting a tracking unit and clicking the Bulk Tagging button.
- Click the option to Delete Tags.
- Select the tag you want to delete, and click the Delete button.
The following message will appear upon successful deletion.
If a tag is currently assigned to one or more tracking units, it cannot be deleted from the system until it is removed from all associated tracking units. If the user attempts to delete a tag that is currently assigned, the following message will appear.
Refer to the section on removing tags to un-assign the tag from the its current tracking units. Currently, tags must be removed on an individual tracking unit basis. Functionality to bulk remove tags will be available in a future release.
