The Invoice Charge Summary application is a chart list view of a customer's invoice line item charges data. In this application, one line is displayed for each individual charge. This view is intended to showcase invoice line item charge trends over time, and it allows the users to create unique visuals to view their data.
To use the app, simply filter any necessary items and click "Go". The report will populate displaying a visual representation of the data in the form of a chart, along with a traditional table view of the data at the bottom of the screen.
Chart View
The functions of each button displayed at the top of the chart are defined below the image:
- Details - when a user clicks on a data point within the chart, the information for that data point will appear here
- View By - clicking on this link allows the user to quickly change the parameters of the chart's X-axis
- Show Legend - show or hide the legend at the bottom of the chart
- Zoom In
- Zoom Out
- Download Chart image
- Chart Settings - adjust the output parameters/how the charge is being displayed, based on the criteria the user has set in the application filters at the top of the screen.

- Chart Type - change the type of chart being displayed (column, bar chart, pie chart, etc.)
- Full Screen - open the chart in a full screen pop-up
- Standard View - displays the default chart image
- Aggregate View - collapses the data into nested rows that can be expanded to view individual totals based on the parameters the user has set within the chart settings

Chart Settings
Clicking on the chart settings button will display a popup allowing the user to adjust the output parameters of the chart itself. The data displayed will coincide with the filters in place at the top of the report.
Chart Dimensions: Selecting "Category" from the drop-down will control the data displayed along the X-axis of the chart. Selecting "Series" will define the criteria the data is being measured against within the visual chart.
Chart Measures: These settings control the data displayed along the Y-axis of the chart.
Aggregate View
The user can elect to view chart data in an aggregate view, which collapses the data into nested rows. Multiple levels of data can be added by clicking on Chart Settings and adding additional Dimensions (X-axis) and Measures (Y-axis). Data can be exported by clicking on the Spreadsheet button next to "Full Screen."
Flattened View
The user can elect to view chart data in a flattened view, which displays the data in a form that's similar to a spreadsheet. The data displayed can be changed by clicking on Chart Settings and adjusting the Dimensions (X-axis) and Measures (Y-axis). Two Dimensions are required to view the data in this manner. Data can be exported by clicking on the Spreadsheet button next to "Full Screen."
Heat Map
Use the Heat Map to view charge data based on where packages are being shipped to/from. Adjust parameters using the drop-downs highlighted at the top of the image below. The Legend on the right will highlight regions where the greatest volume is located. Click on a location to view granular data for that location within the table below the chart.
Table View
Popover View
To display a popover summary containing charge information associated with a particular line item, click on the line item. To see the entire details of this particular invoice, click on the Invoice Number.
To view a list of each individual charge associated with that particular line item, click on the $ icon at bottom right corner of the popover:
Pivot
Users can pivot table data up to 3 levels to get a high level view of their totals. In the example shown below, charges are grouped by Invoice Date Month, Carrier Service, and Secondary Charge. Volume of Charges and Net Charge totals are shown. Click the Settings gear (or, if you have a smaller screen, you may need to click on the 3 dots circle below) to adjust pivot table settings.
Users can open the pivot table in a full screen, collapse or expand all rows, and export to Excel using the menu shown below.
